“New
Beaux Arts” is the term architect
Richardson Robertson III applies to his
work. It is Robertson’s personal interpretation
that has given different architectural styles
a unique and “of the moment”
feeling while remaining truly timeless.
Robertson believes there should be a true
Renaissance in architecture. He believes
that the historic forms and concepts, which
influenced the Pre-Modernist past, should
inform and inspire how architecture is conceived
today. Robertson Partners insures that its
architecture has a true sense of place,
responding both to locale and purpose. In
addition to being responsive to the function
and meaning of the project, Robertson Partners
believes that architecture and related disciplines
such as urban planning, landscape architecture,
and interiors, should all be responsive
to every aspect influencing the project
– the history, the heritage, the culture,
the terrain, the vegetation, the climate,
and the colors. In responding to the whole,
the architecture will become part of its
place, and thus will become part of the
legacy that defines the community.
